Biography

 Born: Pamplona, Spain

The Spanisg mezzo-soprano, Maite Beaumont, studied singing and violin at the Academy of Music "Pablo Sarasate" in Pamplona, and completed in parallel with a sociology degree at the University of Navarre. She has won numerous awards, including the "Voice with the best future".

From 2001 to 2003 Maite Beaumont was a member of the international opera studios of the Hamburg State Opera and sang with them 2nd Dame (Die Zauberflöte), Smeraldine (The Love for Three Oranges) Mercedes (Carmen), Zerlina (Don Giovanni) and Ottavia (L'incoronazione di Poppea), etc. Since the 2003-2004 season she belongs to the ensemble at the Hamburg State Opera. In 2005 she made her debut as Dorabella (Così fan tutte) at the Salzburg Festival and joined others at the opera houses of Paris, Barcelona, Brussels and Amsterdam. Her repertoire also includes roles as Ruggiero (Alcina), Sesto (Giulio Cesare), Melibea (Il viaggio a Reims) and Idamante (Idomeneo). At the Bayerischen Staatsoper she sang Cherubino (Le nozze di Figaro).

On the concert stage Maite Beaumont has appeared with noted conductors such as Christoph Eschenbach and has sung at renowned festivals, including the Rheingau Music Festival.
